Listening Center Response Worksheets for ANY Book
LISTENING CENTER RESPONSE WORKSHEETS
Students LOVE to listen to books being read to them! It's also a great activity to have them track print, expand reading fluency, listen to expression, experience books that are above their reading level, and of course, enjoy the story! The listening center was a staple daily literacy activity for my Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade students.
During listen to reading, students are developing lots of good literacy skills. If you want to see their learning or track their progress, these Literacy Center Response Worksheets are just what you need!
This pack of Listening Center Response sheets is geared for Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. They work with ANY picture book, making it a valuable tool to add to your listening center!
There are MANY skills covered in this pack, which allows you to choose what you’d like your students to focus on as they listen to the story.
Some of those topics include:
- story elements including title, author, illustrator, setting, characters
- story retell
- favorite part of the story
- story events
- student response
There are many ways for students to listen to reading in your Listening Center. Over the years I have used books on cassette tapes (remember those!?), books on CD, books on iPads, and books from various websites like Storyline Online and Tumblebooks.
