WE'RE GOING ON A PUMPKIN HUNT
Take your class on a pumpkin hunt this Halloween with We're Going on a Pumpkin Hunt by Goldie Hawk! In this not-scary Halloween story, children dressed in Halloween costumes set out to find a big pumpkin!
The trio encounter some obstacles on the way. But they're not scared! First up is a herd of cats!
Next they are faced with sticky cobwebs to go through! Tickle-swish!
Then the children come to a swarm of flying, flapping bats! Flap-flap!
An old, dark, spooky house is not too scary for them. Through it they go, creaky-squeak!
Oh, no! They find a ghost! Time to backtrack, through the spooky house, bats, cobwebs, and cats.
What do you think they find when they get back home? Trick or treat!
This craftivity is perfect for writing a story retell, for narrative writing, or for fictional pieces. It also makes a cute Halloween bulletin board display to showcase student work.
