Reese Witherspoon Is Producing Netflix’s Next Big Organizing Series

Less than a year after debuting Tidying Up With Marie Kondo, Netflix is giving neat freaks another reason to binge-watch. The company announced today that it will begin production on a new lifestyle series featuring pro organizing duo Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of The Home Edit. “There are no words to explain how today feels,” the pair wrote in an Instagram post.

Shearer and Teplin don’t just have the support of O.G. influencer Eva Chen, interior designer Orlando Soria, and actress Sara Foster (three stars who shared words of congratulations in the comment section). The show is backed by Reese Witherspoon, who, under her production company, Hello Sunshine, will serve as one of the executive producers.

Cameras will follow The Home Edit pair as they conquer clutter in the homes of their clients. According to Netflix, viewers can expect a number of big-name celebrities to make an appearance. (The Home Edit’s roster already includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Whitney Port, and Kacey Musgraves, among others.)

If the eight-episode series, which has yet to be named, features anything like the tips we’ve learned from the two pros in the past, we expect there will be plenty of sorting, stacking, and label making involved. Their New York Times best-selling book taught us how to take advantage of a tiny medicine cabinet with shallow, categorized containers, and we know how much they love a color-coded refrigerator (complete with a turntable or two for easy access). Perhaps a few storage staples from their new 18-piece collection for the Container Store will even make a debut.

First Marie Kondo, now this—Netflix is fast becoming our go-to source for all things organization.
